19TH ANNUAL HAWKEYE FARM SHOW

EXHIBITORS EMPHASIZE EFFICIENCY 

 

Dates for the 19th Annual Hawkeye Farm Show are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, March 1, 2, 3, 2006.  Show Manager, Penny Swank, states “ This year’s show sees exhibitors’ heavily emphasize strategies for bottom line improvement.  Spiraling energy costs make it imperative to control, manage and market more effectively than ever.  Ag producers attending will see numerous methods employing high tech equipment and software for monitoring input costs as well as all new power equipment designed to minimize fuel expenses.  Marketing and management  software is always improving and Iowa State University Extension Seminars are just the ticket for maximizing benefits of the information available today”

 

A tradition of excellence has made the Hawkeye Farm Show a must attend for farmers in the region.  The newest innovations in agriculture, ranging from genetics to on board control/monitoring systems, will be on display.  Advances in technology are being announced every day. Hawkeye Farm Show exhibitors will showcase the newest and the best of the new offerings.  Several exhibitors are offering strategies and techniques to deal with emerging concerns such as Asian Soybean Rust. Power Equipment Companies, Farm Implements and Tools of all kinds, Seed Companies, Chemical Companies, Storage Buildings, and Grain Handling and Drying Systems are all represented at the show. Those attending are sure to enjoy the opportunity to compare all these exciting new products and services in one location.  Swank re-emphasizes,  “The timing of the show is ideal for planting information and purchases.”

 

In all, nearly 200 Companies will be displaying over 700 lines products and services. (A complete listing of exhibitors as of COB 1/30/06 is attached)

 

Information and education play a more important role in agricultural production each year, and toward that end, we are delighted to feature daily seminars by Iowa State University Extension. The seminars, sponsored by Farm Credit Services of America, are scheduled twice daily at 11 AM and 1 PM in the Panther Room located on the at the northeast corner of the concourse level of the UNI-Dome.  Admission to the Hawkeye Farm Show is free to the public.  There is no charge for attendance.  A parking charge of $3.00 per car is assessed by the University of Northern Iowa to those parking in the UNI Dome lots.  Show Hours are 9 AM - 5 PM Wednesday and Thursday and 9 AM to 4 PM Friday.
